Il Capital Pride è la celebrazione LGBTQ+ annuale di Washington DC — uno degli eventi Pride politicamente più significativi al mondo, ogni giugno nella capitale degli Stati Uniti. La Capital Pride Parade percorre Pennsylvania Avenue NW, la stessa strada delle inaugurazioni presidenziali, collegando il Campidoglio a un capo e la Casa Bianca all'altro. Il simbolismo è voluto e potente: la marcia per l'uguaglianza LGBTQ+ sulla strada del potere politico americano, nella città dove si fanno le leggi che definiscono i diritti di ogni persona LGBTQ+ americana. Membri del Congresso partecipano alla parata. HRC, National LGBTQ Task Force e decine di organizzazioni LGBTQ+ nazionali usano la settimana Pride come piattaforma legislativa e di policy.
