The Tiny Pony Tavern

We visited this place on 8/18 at around 10pm. The food was good but what really made the visit awful was the male bartender that was at the establishment. He was rude and entitled like we were bothering him by simply asking him to order food. We were a big party of 8 excited to explore what the beautiful Joshua Tree had to offer and he put a sour taste in our mouths about returning. The atmosphere beside him was fun and inclusive. I would recommend hiring a friendly male bartender with social skills and this place would be a fun spot to hangout.

interesting menu, draft beer, casual atmosphere. what else could you want?

It has a great atmosphere and there's also a small pool table (but you have to pay).

The décor was fun, but the restroom could have been cleaner. With only two restrooms, capacity also felt limited for a bar of this size.

Great place! Not your everyday bar food! Delicious and interesting menu! Try the tajin shishitoe peppers! Yummy!

We visited Tiny Pony Tavern for my husband’s birthday after it was recommended to us. We understood it was self-seating and expected a wait on a busy Friday. Another gentleman and we had been waiting near the self-seating sign when a white couple walked in, approached a waitress, and was immediately helped. When a table opened, we walked over to the table followed by the waitress who walked over to split the table and to prioritized the couple who had just arrived. They were greeted, seated and service immediately, we just decided to walk out shortly after this as this interaction left us feeling weird and out of place. I cannot say what motivated her, but the gentleman and we are POC, while the couple who received immediate assistance was white. The unequal treatment made us feel overlooked and discriminated against. At minimum, the self-seating policy was applied inconsistently and unfairly. I would highly suggest going to the Copper Room instead. We headed there after this interaction. Slightly busier, we did wait however the food was great and the customer service was incredible, we ended up here two nights in a row and enjoyed both dinners.

I had the avocados tacos with grilled chicken. They were awesome! Service was awesome!

Brittany and her staff treated me like family. I had steak and salad, which was delicious. I loved their drink specials, the spicy margaritas were amazing. I plan on going back there on my next trip out. Thanks for a great experience! The staff got me one of their shirts and I plan on where it when I return to Nashville and wear it with pride. Thanks Tony Pony 👍
