Haus of Khameleon

Haus of Khameleon is a Suva-based group led by trans women that works on the rights of transgender and gender-diverse people in Fiji. Its main areas are legal gender recognition, gender-based violence, and sexual and reproductive health and rights, done through research, documentation of trans people's experiences, and advocacy with government. It is part of the Commonwealth Equality Network. Fiji decriminalised same-sex relations in 2010 and its 2013 constitution bans discrimination on sexual orientation and gender identity, but changing legal gender is still difficult in practice. It is an advocacy organization, not a drop-in center; contact it through hausofkhameleon.com.
