Luxurious? The cheapest there is in terms of service and attitude and cleanliness. And I saw that there were other people who lost their things and did not care, this is exactly what happened to me too

Unsafe, Unprofessional, and Far From Luxury I stayed at the Setai Tel Aviv while visiting family in Israel to celebrate my 50th birthday. What should have been a special and relaxing trip turned into a very disappointing experience. The most serious incident happened while I was taking a shower. Part of the bathroom counter, which was connected to electrical outlets, suddenly detached and fell, blocking the shower door and trapping me inside. Thankfully, I hadn’t locked the bathroom door, and my daughter was able to come in and move the heavy piece so I could get out. It was a frightening experience, and I can’t imagine what would have happened if I had been alone. I reported this serious maintenance issue to the hotel manager, Alex. His response was simply, “Things like that happen.” I found that completely unacceptable. In all my years of traveling, I have never experienced a bathroom fixture collapsing and trapping me in a shower. A potentially dangerous incident like this should have been treated with genuine concern and urgency, not dismissed. As if that wasn’t enough, when I returned to my room that evening, there was a cockroach outside my door. Again, not something you expect from a hotel that claims to be luxurious. The pool was also far from the peaceful experience we had hoped for. Three young girls were left unsupervised for a long time, throwing a ball that hit me in the face and repeatedly jumping into the pool, soaking guests and their belongings. A lifeguard did intervene, but the girls were rude and ignored him. About two hours later, their mother finally appeared and, instead of addressing their behavior, she argued with and dismissed the lifeguard. Throughout all of this, there was little sense that the hotel was ensuring a comfortable environment for its guests. Between the serious safety issue, the dismissive response from management, the cleanliness concerns, and the chaotic pool atmosphere, this was not the relaxing luxury experience we expected. Sadly, my 50th birthday celebration was overshadowed by stress and disappointment. I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel.

I stayed at the Setai Tel Aviv in Jaffa last weekend to celebrate my partner's birthday. I must say that the service we received was terrible.. Let's start with the pool, which in the pictures looks like a painting, and in reality it was simply too small to sit there. You should have been inside the pool only. You can't order drinks there (you have to wait for a waiter to come to you after two hours at best..) and when you go to the bar you don't receive service, claiming that there are waiters "who take care of it.." The breakfast was so disappointing that we decided to give it up and eat outside. Also during the check-out process, a car blocked our exit due to a mistake by the hotel security guard, which caused us to leave two hours late and arrive after Shabbat.. A very unjustified price, as well as the same for the sushi restaurant on the roof that sells rolls at ridiculous prices. I personally will never go near this hotel at any cost and recommend to anyone who reads the review not to be impressed by the name of the place and to stay away like the plague.
