Here's the honest answer: Puerto Princesa has no dedicated gay bar or club in 2026. The one place gay travel guides still point to is Tiki Resto Bar on Rizal Avenue, which TravelGay lists as "gay-popular". Everything else is a mixed night out, and that's fine for a provincial capital most people visit for the Underground River.
Legal in one line: same-sex relations are legal in the Philippines, there is no marriage or civil union, and Puerto Princesa's own City Ordinance No. 657 (2015) prohibits discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.
Tiki Resto Bar: the one gay-popular bar
Tiki sits on Rizal Avenue in Barangay San Miguel, the city's main strip. TravelGay notes that it used to be an explicitly gay bar and now draws a mixed crowd, with many local gay men on Friday and Saturday nights. It is a bar-restaurant with music, not a dance club. TravelGay gives hours of roughly 6pm to 3am; check its Facebook page before a late visit.
How gay locals actually go out
In provincial Philippine cities the gay night out is mostly a mixed one: KTV (karaoke) bars, comedy bars and the restaurants and bars along Rizal Avenue, with friends rather than in a dedicated venue. Nomadic Boys and EveryQueer both say Palawan has no specific gay spots. Dating apps are how many locals meet; meet first somewhere public.
Closed or changed: names that older guides still show
Earlier listings, including a previous version of this page, described several businesses as gay bars without any evidence: B-Club (Robinsons Place), Sip and Savour, Rockafellas, Tao Bar, Lafftrip Comedy Bar and Before and After Club (an after-hours electronic club above Chez Rose on B.M. Road). We found no outside source calling any of them gay, so we have removed them from this page. Some are good places for a drink; they just aren't gay bars.
Pride and community
Pride Month activities in June are led by the Balangaw LGBTQ+ Association and Tandikan Puerto Princesa, according to local press. We couldn't confirm a dated Pride march for 2026, so ask the groups on Facebook before planning around one.
If you want a real gay night out
Fly to Manila: Makati, Quezon City and Pasig (O Bar in Ortigas) have the country's biggest scene, and Cebu has a smaller one. From Puerto Princesa, Manila is about 1 hour 20 minutes by air.
