OKC Palach, also called Klub Palach, is a long-running alternative youth and culture centre in central Rijeka, a short walk from the Korzo. It runs live gigs, club nights, film screenings and talks, and the crowd is mixed and mostly young. It is gay-friendly rather than a gay venue.
Rijeka has no permanent gay bar, so Palach matters for queer nightlife. It has hosted queer parties run by the local lesbian group LORI and events linked to the Smoqua queer festival.
