Almeerderstrand Naturist Beach (Zilverstrand)

Almeerderstrand is Almere Poort's main lake beach on the IJmeer, just off the A6. It includes an officially designated naturist section, sometimes called Zilverstrand. The dunes north-west of the main beach have long been a gay naturist and cruising area. A 2018 redesign opened up the sightlines, partly to reduce sexual activity, so cruising there now is quieter and more discreet than it used to be. You can get there by car (Almeerderstrand exit off the A6) or by bus from Almere Centrum. Nudity is fine within the naturist zone, but sex in public places can still bring police attention. Stay within the designated area and respect other beachgoers.
