NAWROZ is a budget-priced restaurant on Alameda de Recalde in Abando, Bilbao's central business and shopping district, a short walk from the Guggenheim and Gran Vía. The name refers to the Persian and Kurdish new year, which hints at the kitchen's direction; check the menu before you go if you want a particular cuisine. It is a mainstream restaurant listed as gay-friendly, not a gay venue. It holds a 4.7 Google rating from roughly 400 reviews, with diners mostly praising the food and the friendly service. Opening hours aren't listed here, so check before you walk over.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We only arrived in Bilbao this week and actually had trouble finding somewhere to eat on our first evening. By chance, we stumbled upon this restaurant – and we've already been back twice! 😊 And what can we say? Absolutely recommended! ❤️ Super friendly and welcoming service, a wonderful family, and truly delicious food. My boyfriend had a meat skewer with rice, and I had the vegetarian option. I was particularly impressed with the salad plate 🥗 – beautifully colorful, fresh, and varied. That's how salad should taste! I also had falafel with pita bread, which was also delicious. The tea was great too. 🫖 Both times we felt very comfortable, received excellent service, and left full and satisfied. A definite recommendation from us! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
