Cafe de Estraperlo is a design-led cafe-bar on Plaza Poeta Alfonso Canales in Soho, Málaga's arts district. Soho lies between the Alameda Principal and the port. The bar is gay-run and draws a mixed crowd of gay and straight Soho locals across a wide age range. Local artists' work hangs on the walls, and the music runs from jazz and funk to house.
It is open all day, from breakfast coffee through to evening cocktails. The scene mostly uses it for daytime and early-evening drinks before moving up to the bars around Plaza de la Merced later at night. Rating: 4.5 on Google from about 390 reviews.
