No — same-sex marriage is not currently recognised in ボリビア. Some form of registered partnership is available, providing partial rights (see the Legal Status panel on this page for specifics). Legal since 1832. The 2009 constitution (Art. 14) and Ley 045 (2010) ban discrimination on sexual orientation and gender identity; Art. 63 defines marriage as between a man and a woman. Since March 2023 (SCP 0577/2022) the civil registry must register same-sex de facto unions; no marriage or adoption. Ley 807 (2016) allows administrative name and sex change. One court-ordered marriage was registered (Santa Cruz, Aug 2026).
