Boate Observatório

Observatório, usually just OBS, is the long-running gay club on Rua da Estrela in the Praia Grande part of the Centro Histórico. Its Instagram says it has been going since 2003 and opens every Saturday, and Frommers calls it one of the oldest gay and lesbian clubs in São Luís. A 2022 local LGBT guide described two dance floors, electronic music on one and regional rhythms on the other, with cover charges around R$10–20 at the time. It's a late-night place, so expect it to fill up after midnight. The newest Instagram posts we could see were from December 2025, so check @obs_slz for the week's party before heading out.
