Gran Hotel de Querétaro

I just stayed for 5 nights at the hotel. The staff was very friendly, and the hotel's location is excellent—very central. The hotel's architecture, belonging to a former convent, is beautiful. However, the room maintenance leaves much to be desired. The lighting is terrible, the beds and pillows are extremely uncomfortable, and the carpet is incredibly dirty and stained, as is the furniture. It's a shame because the hotel could be very beautiful, but it's very neglected in the details. Several light bulbs in my room weren't working, but the worst thing was the dirt on the carpet in the room and the hallway in general.

Terrible service. The rooms have uneven surfaces and steps that are dangerous for elderly people. Furthermore, the power went out at night, and we were without a fan all night. The bathroom also stopped working, the ice machines weren't working, room service was unavailable, and the only elevator was out of service. I had an elderly person with me, and it was torture getting them down the stairs. Overall, we had a terrible experience, but the view of downtown Querétaro is nice.

Excellent hotel, 10/10. Great amenities and, above all, excellent staff service. The location is comfortable, central, and with a great view of Plaza Constitución.

A very well situated hotel but subject to quite a bit of outside noise. Rooms are very spacious but tired. With some investment from the owners it has the potential to be a 5 star property.
