Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bismarck

I had a very nice, roomy and very clean room. The person at the front desk was very nice and helpfull. I checked in 8-10-26 at around 8 p.m. Tell her thank you!

My wife and I stayed at Holiday inn express in Bismarck on July 31 2026. The room was great, no complaints. Air conditioning was great for a day when it was almost 100 degrees, and it was clean, modern looking room. Free breakfast was good. Restaurants, Grocery store, gas stations close by. The Staff at the Hotel were extremely polite. When we checked out the following day, I left an item in our room. A nice lady from the Hotel called us later that day and notified us of the item, and we were very grateful for that! Next time we are in Bismarck, we know where we are staying. Holiday Inn Express.

This location is following a trend that I think most travelers will find as a negative. They have removed the coffee machines from the rooms and encourage guests to use the coffee in the lobby. When I'm up early, I don't want to get fully dressed to go down to the lobby then take my coffee back to room to then relax. I just want to relax with some coffee before thinking about anything else....across the board a bad move my HIE and IHG

Avoid this hotel. It's one thing to feel unwelcomed but to be made to feel unsafe by the staff is on a totally different level. I arrived a bit early but my room wasn't available, no biggie, that happens. I was told to come back in an hour and my room should be ready. An hour later, when I came back I was told there was no record of my reservation. When I opened up the app, magically my reservation was in the system. The funny thing was, the front desk person had my check in sheet in his hand when he couldn't find my reservation. That's just bad customer service BUT calling my room an hour later to see if I was there was creepy. As a business traveler, I exclusively use IHG properties. I have never had the front desk call to see if I was in my room. Ever. Not wanting to find out what that guy was planning to do next, I packed up and left. Bismarck has too many options to risk your life in that place.
