Sydney Sauna

The sauna and spa were really really nice, and the whole facility is kept very clean. I was made to feel very welcome by the staff who were very helpful and attentive. I went on a regular day (not an all genders time/day) which isn’t a problem because I am a trans man. Although, the other patrons seemed put off by my presence, and they didn’t really want to talk or be near me, so it wasn’t a very successful cruising attempt. However this in itself is not an issue, it was a bit disappointing but I know trans men are not for everyone and I am ok with that. What was not acceptable was the behaviour of one man who (in front of other patrons) visibly shielded his face multiple times when passing me so he wouldn’t have to experience the displeasure of looking at my body. It was very rude, and it made me feel unwelcome and honestly ashamed at my body. With that in mind, if you are a trans guy and you come here, I hope your experience is better than mine, but just be careful. It might be worth going on the all genders night just to avoid similar experiences with gay men who don’t know how to treat other people with the most basic level of kindness and respect.

As a Brazilian im used to top gay saunas and this one doesn’t disappoint! I had lots of fun here and will always come back! ❤️❤️

Dear Management, I am writing to you regarding a disappointing experience I had at your facility this past Thursday. I have been a regular customer for over a year, specifically enjoying your sauna after work. During this time, I have always maintained a respectful and polite demeanor toward all other patrons and staff. I am fully aware of the facility’s rules regarding conduct toward others, and I have always strictly adhered to them; I have never caused any discomfort to any female patrons. When I arrived on Thursday, I was denied entry, despite the fact that I have been visiting regularly for more than a year. Since you keep records of your customers’ IDs and visits, it should be clear that I am a long-term, consistent patron. It was particularly confusing to see five other men allowed to enter immediately after I was turned away. As a loyal customer, I would appreciate it if you could prioritize those who have been visiting for a long time and have a proven record of respectful behavior. Could you please clarify why I was denied access and what the current criteria for entry are? I value your facility and would like to continue my visits. My first visit to Sydney Sauna was disappointing due to the customer service. When I arrived, there was no one at reception and no bell or other way to get someone's attention. I waited for around 10 minutes before the receptionist noticed I was standing at the counter. When he finally came over, he simply looked at me and waited for me to speak, even though it should have been obvious that I was there to check in. As it was my first time visiting a venue like this, I was a bit nervous and wasn't sure what information he needed from me. Instead of being welcoming or helpful, the receptionist (the gentleman with the Spanish accent) came across as dismissive and condescending throughout the interaction. At one point, he asked whether I understood him and later asked me to repeat what he had just said, which I found patronizing and unnecessary. The overall tone felt passive-aggressive rather than professional or customer-friendly. Before visiting, I had seen similar comments online about the reception staff and assumed they were isolated incidents. Unfortunately, my experience was very similar. I expect basic courtesy and respect when visiting any business, especially as a first-time customer, and this experience left a very negative impression.

New, unwritten rules as of last week: All Single Men are banned on Thursday nights. Only Women and Couples alllowed in. Was turned away with no warning. BEWARE!
