Two-month stay at the hostel: several negative and positive points. The pros: - Good location - The backpackers are great - The cleaning volunteers are super nice and helpful despite all the work they have to do (there are two of them cleaning two hostels) The cons: - Unsanitary showers most of the time - Cleaning is only done in the morning; if you want to use anything belonging to the hostel, it will be dirty - The state of the kitchens is deplorable: utensils in poor condition, pots and pans that stick no matter what you cook - The sofas are dirty and dusty. I got bitten by insects like fleas/bedbugs - Asking for positive reviews in exchange for "free" pizzas is, in my opinion, unethical - Dangerous electrical installations: power strips connected in series, which instantly overload the circuit. This is especially dangerous when the showers are exposed to rain. - The shower doors are difficult to close or get stuck. - It's a shame there's no shelter from the rain in a part of the world where it rains 6 months out of 12. The sofas get soaked on rainy days, and the pergola outside is missing a section of its roof.

The Cozy Hostel truly lives up to its name: it's super cozy and warm! The atmosphere is pleasant, the places are clean, and you immediately feel right at home.

After receiving a message from the owner explaining that my previous review was “very shameful” and “bullshitting online”, I understand I should leave a better review instead. So here is the 5-star rating as suggested (see screenshot). 6 nights for $520 — totally worth it! And thank you for your message to teach me how to write a review. The price now feels much more cost effective with your guidance.

Such a relief to have a chilled hostel in Darwin! Nice calm atmosphere compared to other hostels but still social. Has a couple basic kitchens and a few different social areas. Dorms comfortable with good lockers. Bigger dorms could do with more electrical sockets. Great communication over WhatsApp.

The manager is very cool and helpful Some rooms are tall and others Little for 6 personnes. The staff clean everyday and paid pizza once per week !
