North Swanbourne Beach

North Swanbourne — "Swanny" to locals — is Perth's long-standing gay and clothing-optional beach, about 20 minutes west of the CBD. The nude and gay-frequented stretch begins roughly 300 metres north of the Swanbourne car park, where the dunes rise; the family beach stays to the south of the signage, so head north to find the scene. It has been used by naturists since well before the war and remains relaxed and tolerated. Bring water, sunscreen and shade — the dunes are exposed and there's little cover on hot days.
