About this place North Swanbourne Beach

North Swanbourne — "Swanny" to locals — is Perth's long-standing gay and clothing-optional beach, about 20 minutes west of the CBD. The nude and gay-frequented stretch begins roughly 300 metres north of the Swanbourne car park, where the dunes rise; the family beach stays to the south of the signage, so head north to find the scene. It has been used by naturists since well before the war and remains relaxed and tolerated. Bring water, sunscreen and shade — the dunes are exposed and there's little cover on hot days.

So different from our last visit 9 years ago when there was a healthy naturist community with groups of friends, volleyball court, and a balanced mix of gender. We went on a Saturday and the walked past the textile section looking for the nude side which starts about 250 meters past the last footpath entrance. It was 95% male with several creepy looking characters both stationary and walkers. May give Port Kennedy in Rockingham a try, but doubt we'll be back to Swanbourne.

Great beach for a swim, sun baking, and meeting new single friends and couples for fun times. Lots of couples and singles putting on a show on display encouraging all the men to openly play

As soon as we sat down, old sleazy men started hanging around waiting for my wife to take her clothes off. We spoke to another couple who experienced the same thing. The beach is absolutely beautiful but I can’t imagine any lady would feel comfortable being naked there. We have seen some really lovely nude beaches in WA but this one left us both feeling violated. Just don’t.

Swanbourne Beach faces West, it's a great place to view the sunset over the Indian Ocean. The beach is not far from Perth city, it's near Claremont and Nedlands. The conditions are good, the attractive beach is patrolled by the Swanbourne Graylands Surf Life Saving Club. Swanbourne is one of the best-known nude beaches in Western Australia, where swimmers can express their natural bodies.

Took my partner to the nude beach for her first time. She loved it, felt very liberating for her. Lots of stares as she’s extremely attractive but that’s cool, it was a confidence boost for her and that made me happy. Didn’t see anyone pulling their pud to her or discreetly filming, but she swears some of the men would give themselves a half chub before walking past. LOTS of lonesome men. But was nice to see a few couples and younger friends groups. I left her to walk a million miles back to the car for more water as it was an almost 40oC day and she said no one bothered her. We avoided sitting close to the dunes as I assumed if there are any creepers, that’s where they’d be. The only gripe I have is that we need better access to the beach. Maybe a footpath closer to the nude section. But I guess that would encourage more creepers to come have a peep from the bushes.

Swanbourne Beach faces west, it's a great place to view the sunset. The beach is patrolled by the Swanbourne-Nedlands Surf Life Saving Club during the summer season, but the surf is rarely threatening. Swanbourne Beach is known as a nudist beach, you don't have to be young and beautiful, just take off your gear and jump in. By the way, the only people who aren't welome are the pervs who hide out in the sandhills.

Enjoyed a nice stroll on the beach after a filling breakfast. Quite big waves and plenty of small sea shells.

Swanbourne Beach is best known in Perth as the nudist beach, but in most areas clothing is optional. Not all beach users are young and beautiful, my cousin and her partner -- who were in their 70s -- went to the nudist beach whenever they were in Perth, they swam naked. It's a good beach for swimming, the waves are usually low and the sand is fine and white. It's best to leave before the sea breeze arrives, the waves get choppy and it can get quite cool. Swanbourne attracts locals, tourists and backpackers. The only group who are not welcome are the pervs, who often hide out in the sandhills,

I visited Swanbourne Nudist Beach recently and spent the morning with the swanbourne Beach Nudist Social Group and a really enjoyed the time with a nice friendly group of people who made me feel very welcome and highly recommend others enjoy this liberating experience Some details below- “ABOUT THE GROUP” We are a group of Nudist`s / Naturist`s who meet socially at Swanbourne Beach on Sunday Mornings from Spring into June when weather permits, and welcome other Nudist`s M F (from 18yo, mixed ages) who would like to join us including locals, tourists and backpackers. In summer we start from 9:00 in the morning until at least 12:00 before the sea breeze and as the season changes, we start later. The group was formed in 2011 having having met nudists from all over the world, and Members generally tend to be single, with some having partners that are not beach goers. A great way to meet likeminded people and make new friends in a relaxing environment where you can swim, chat, play volleyball, tan, run, surf or just chill out. There will be some random weekday meets also for those free! “TO JOIN THE GROUP” Please provide the information below Email direct to swannybeach@outlook.com.au Include your first name, age and some information about yourself, ps We are Simply for Friendship
