Wallaby Backpackers Hostel Perth

Only location is good… It’s an nasty old not maintained building… It’s not social at all and the free breakfast is just 2 packs of cereal and some milk. Everything is old and not maintained, it’s also NOT social. There was also an old drunk guy multiple nights screaming, even so bad that the police came, but hours later he wat still in the hostel… And way too expensive for that unsocial prison

Hostel without character,facillities are awfull,smells like rotten corpses,and they charge 50dollars a night. Just pathetic

The atmosphere is super peaceful, which in my opinion makes it an excellent place to stay. There are backpackers of all nationalities and ages, all very friendly. The kitchen is decent, and the included breakfast is very basic, but it's something. I'm extremely sensitive to noise when I sleep, and I'm staying in a 10-person dorm, which is actually quite good; they're all very respectful (or maybe I just got lucky). I think this hostel is a great option to stay in as soon as you arrive.

Really bad hostel

Very dirty place. Very noisy - they need to change the very old windows. The train tracks are next to the hostel and you can hear the train until very late and early morning. The beds were comfortable and the location is great

Good hostel , but no elevator although it has 3 high levels and I have had my food eaten by someone, it dissapeared from inside the fridge and also in my room I had a guy who was snorring like you wont believe! Big kitchen and large rooms are cons. It was ok for a few days I have stayed...

Old furniture that stank to high heaven, disgusting room (303), bathroom in a terrible state. The carpet in the room was filthy and stinky… My worst experience ever. Breakfast? A box of cereal and milk. I don't understand how this kind of hostel still exists in 2025.

The cleanliness of the rooms was worrying; numerous rats were gnawing at the plaster in the wall panels and constantly squeaking, severely disrupting sleep. This indicated that the management had neglected building maintenance. The laundry room on the third floor reeked of marijuana, and I saw more than one person using drugs inside. Apart from that, everything else was acceptable.

Considering the price, the location was very good, but it was disappointing that I saw a cockroach in the room once. Also, the smell in the room was a bit bothersome. It says breakfast is included, but it’s only milk, tea, coffee, cereal, and oatmeal.
