Insanely good schnitzel in the heart of Hakuba! Had a really nice Apres here with our friends after riding all day. The live music, fondue and vibes were 10/10. Can’t wait to come back again next season!

Magical accommodation that truly exceeded expectations. The breakfast was lovely, the restaurant was fantastic, and the location couldn’t have been better — only about an 8-minute walk from the bus station and close to heaps of great food options. The rooms were a really good size, with a beautiful, cozy bed that made it hard to leave in the mornings. The dry room was excellent after long days on the slopes. While the bathroom was a little on the smaller side, it transformed into a bath, which was perfect for relaxing after a big ski day. The staff were wonderful and the whole place had genuine Austrian alpine vibes that made the stay feel extra special. Thank you to the team at Marillen Hotel Hakuba for such a memorable stay. We would absolutely love to return.

Best food and service in Hakuba so far, was totally over grilled and fried everything. Here the food is delicious and the team is wonderful. There is lots of attention to details. It's warm and as gorgeous views on the snow.

A true ski in and ski out hotel with an amazing breakfast every morning. Ski lockers were great, washer dryers downstairs, staff lovely and so helpful. Beds are incredibly comfy with amazing views. Shuttle to other HHG hotels/establishments for dinners was great. The pretzels are to die for!

We had an amazing stay at Marillen Hotel, even though our trip took an unexpected turn. The owners and staff went above and beyond helping us translate over the phone late at night when we ended up in hospital, and even coming with us to then hospital the next day to support us in person. Truly incredible hospitality. The hotel itself is in the best location, right at the bottom of the mountain with Hakuba Apres just outside. Cozy, clean rooms, stunning views, and a delicious breakfast every morning. Can’t thank the team enough. We’ll definitely be back!

Our stay has been incredible! Naoko, Berndt and the rest of the team have been so warm and welcoming, sitting down with us at every meal to chat and ask about our stay. The staff have all gone above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are big and cozy, and they all have access to the outside balcony, which hosts some stunning views of the mountains. The slopes are literally 10 steps from the front of the hotel, which maximises your time skiing/snowboarding! Thank you all so much!

One of the best places to stay for ski in ski out in Hakuba. We ended up extending our stay for 2 extra nights it was so fantastic. The staff the food the room all amazing.

Although this was our first time in Hakuba and only hotel we stayed in, I’m about as confident as I can be that you’d be hard pressed to find a better spot. The ski in/ski out location, friendly vibe, and nightly music were great. Room size was smallish, bathroom older, but certainly serviceable for our needs. In particular, Joey was very helpful and Naoko was the epitome of hospitality. Amazing. The connected German restaurant, Bernd’s Keller, was also top notch. Had a chance to talk to Bernd several times and he made dining there a great experience. Will certainly stay again.

I didn't stay here, but I ate here. The beer is imported directly from Germany, and the bubbles are freshly made—very fine and refreshing, absolutely delicious! 100 points! I'd also recommend the ginger ale if you don't drink alcohol. P.S. You absolutely must try the brownies!
