Kobe Rainbow Festa

Kobe Rainbow Festa is Hyogo Prefecture's first large pride event, organised by a volunteer executive committee (神戸レインボーフェスタ実行委員会). Started in 2023, it is held in spring and combines a march through central Kobe with stages, information booths and community stalls around Sannomiya and the Meriken Park waterfront. The 2025 edition reported around 10,000 attendees. There is no permanent office or venue to visit. Dates are announced each year through the committee's social media, so check those before planning a trip around it. For year-round gay nightlife, most people head to Osaka's Doyama-cho, about 30 minutes away by train.
