Convenient location, great service. Super tired from a business trip to Tokyo, so I tried Qingya Pavilion's in-room service. The girl came directly to the room, no strange charges, super attentive service, perfect privacy, and even though I don't understand Japanese, it went smoothly. I went straight to sleep afterward. Highly recommended! TG @meiyou06 #Osaka #Tokyo #JapanIn-roomService #Osaka #JapaneseBubbleBath #OsakaCulture #Tokyo #TokyoIn-roomService #JapanAffairs

The concept is great and they have good books, but the cleanliness is only about a 60 out of 100. Also, there's a female staff member who's surprisingly unfriendly. The other staff members were kind. As a book lover, I'm satisfied! If you're a book lover and can overlook a few other things, I recommend it!

The place is nice but there was no usb for charging my phone and there was noisy family in the morning, the staff just told them once to be quiet and did anything. I couldnt rest. The breakfast was very small.

So filthy. I still remember how incredibly sweaty the “capsule” smelled. It also didn’t feel secure or safe. 0/10 recommend.

This capsule hotel... The female staff's customer service was so terrible that it made me extremely uncomfortable. When I told her I wanted to check in, she silently threw the personal information form and pen onto the table. That's where the nightmare began. The list goes on and on, but... First of all, she couldn't even greet me. She served me in silence. She sighed as if she was irritated. She had a condescending attitude throughout. When she did speak, she whispered so I couldn't understand what she was saying. When I asked her to repeat herself, she reiterated in a harsh tone... No matter how kind and friendly I was, nothing changed. At one point, I even started to wonder if I had accidentally walked into an S&M bar... Where's the dominatrix? The dominatrix would probably provide better service. In short, she should never be allowed to work at the front desk again. And it wasn't just one woman; at different times, another woman was at the front desk, and she also provided equally terrible service. In business, it's simply embarrassing to put people like that out in front of customers. It seems like a lack of training, but perhaps they're simply unsuited for customer service. I question the quality of the management and the company for not being able to discern this and not knowing how to put the right people in the right places. The fact that they can lower the quality of an entire store to this extent is almost a talent in itself. You should actually give them credit for it. (laughs) If the accommodation was free, I wouldn't complain. However, despite paying about 10,000 yen, the lack of even basic morals and customer service manners is utterly appalling. The foreign staff at the convenience store in the same Kabukicho area had far better customer service... [Access/Location] About 5 minutes from Seibu Shinjuku Station. Excellent location right in front of To-yoko and Kabukicho. 【Facilities】 The toilets and showers in the facility were in good working order, and above all, the manners of the other guests were so good that it made me forget the unpleasant experience I had at the front desk. It was a very quiet space! I was surprised, considering the variety of people there were: Japanese, foreigners, business people, tourists, etc.! 【Guest Room (Bed)】 The bed (one futon mattress) is simple. Bed making is done by the guests themselves. It's like a youth nature center. (laughs) The partition between beds is just a single sheet of plywood, and the opening is only a curtain. There are no locks. Suitcases are stored under the bed (just an empty space) and are shared. I slept on the upper bunk this time, and as other reviews have mentioned, you can definitely hear the floor noise from the floor above... Also, the air conditioning didn't work in the bed area, and it was very hot. 【Summary】 In short, the customer service was terrible, and the only selling point seems to be its convenient access and location. Regarding the books, they seem to be there for display purposes and not really a selling point. No one was reading a book on the day I stayed... While it seems geared towards inbound tourists, there were also many Japanese guests, so I hope for improvements in staff quality. The service was rather unacceptable, hence the 1-star rating. Honestly, I'd like to give it a negative rating... I've never stayed at the Shinsaibashi branch, but I will never use the Shinjuku branch again, including the cafe.

Worst Customer Service Ever Negative comments in online reviews are almost always exaggerated. However, the numerous complaints about Book and Bed Tokyo Shinjuku are absolutely not exaggerated; you will witness the facts exactly as they are written. I initially visited with significantly lowered expectations based on the reviews, but I was still exhausted. After being shown to my room with the worst possible service, I was greeted by a poorly cleaned room with grimy bedding and a lighter presumably left behind by a previous guest. After that, I started noticing things I wouldn't normally care about, such as a mysterious toothpaste corner (whether it was a forgotten item or an amenity) and a poorly fitted door. As someone who is not religious, I searched for God for the first time in my life. Perhaps if I had been subjected to religious proselytizing at this hotel... There are some good points. One is the quality of the guests. The guests were well-mannered, and the atmosphere was quiet. Therefore, you can hear noises from the upstairs floor. The employees don't wear name tags, and I felt that the management either doesn't understand customer service or has no intention of training them.
