Kaiser Konstantin - Kölsches Brauhaus

We had another wonderful evening at Kaiser Konstantin yesterday. For us, it's probably the restaurant in Cologne with the best view, plus excellent service and very good, high-quality food. The price-performance ratio is truly fair. Thank you!

Yes, it was a special day with the sun eclipse but everyone knew about it and as a restaurant with a terrace offering the perfect view I could and I think should have been prepared.. So why I first get told that they don't have a reservation although I had booked for five people, then we were shown to a table for 4, although we had brought one extra guests? I don't know .. Then we had to wait forever to even get the menus. And yes, many tables outside were full but we were the only guests sitting inside, so maybe 50% of the tables were used... Then we were literally forced to move to a table outside although we had made it clear that we felt comfortable inside... But not that this had any positive impact on the speed of service. Drinks? Long wait... Then some dishes came while the rest of my guests has to wait. Then some more arrived and while others had almost finished, I was still sitting in front of a ln empty space. Ssking if we need anything else? Nope. Bringing us the extra two beers I ordered? Not happening. In short: a total disaster in terms of the first experience. Btw: a couple (tourists) arrived to eat and where told they had to come back in an hour - while the restaurant was still half empty...why?? Two positive points that deserve mentioning: The food was excellent, every single dish we had And the waiter a tleszt came to our desk to apologize, thank you for this.

A pleasant spot with a beautiful view, perfect for enjoying a beer on the terrace at an affordable price, and with less foot traffic than on the other side of the river.

Very friendly staff. We can recommend it.

The food was very good; I can only say this is a very good restaurant and brewery. I highly recommend it.
