BUDDY

Price competitive, for Munich. Clean and functional rooms. Fully opening double glass windows and external shutters. View was onto the next building across. Very small rooms (10sqm) but they tell you that on their website. Convenient central location. Easy suitcase self-storage for €2. Weird vibe in the whole building. Intoxicated adolescents in the level 2 reception area, fooling around, snuggled up the benches, playing loud music, 1pm in the arvo. Anyone can walk into the building off the street during business hours. Felt more like a hostel. Self-check-in via a Kiosk. The reception was wo-manned, but the staff crawled from under the shutters once they realised you were outside. I wish they had opened the shutters instead. Weird. At least the young man on duty was patient, helpful and friendly.
Room had weird smell. Contacting room service was difficult. Coffee machine was not connected to any electric point. Only see through sheer curtains. Woke up at 5:30am due to sunlight in the room. Could clearly hear a lot of street noises even after locking all windows. The only saving grace was that the room was on the 6th floor with a nice view. The Junior suite is spacious and very easy to open 2 large size bags in the room.
Good location
They are trying to be 100% online. It sucks. Would not have been able to check in, find luggage storage, find new towels, get room cleaned, or ANYTHING if German behind the desk wasn’t there. We also had to help about 12 other guests throughout our stay to check in, find luggage storage, etc. There is not enough info to guide you, and no direction in emails etc. You need to open the front desk.
Fully automated hotel. You check in online before arriving, print out your key, and enter your room. If you have a car, there's parking, but it costs €24 per day. You must print out your key to enter. However, you can't park or park nearby. There's no bar, and there's practically no reception. If you book multiple rooms, everyone must check in with the name on the reservation, not the name of the person actually staying there, otherwise they won't be recognized. I booked two rooms on Booking.com, and according to their system, I was in both. It doesn't seem very nice or legal. The rooms are small, but there's everything in just a few square meters. They're clean, and even have a coffee machine, but there's no bar, breakfast, or anything else. Very close to the center, ideal for short stays and young people. Not recommended for those who don't speak languages, use technology, or are looking for a traditional hotel.
