Zanzibar Locke, Ha'penny Bridge

Nice place . Great vibes. Very very nice and helpful staff

We have never had such a large room, very comfortable for a wheelchair. One small problem was that one of the two beds was missing half of the slats, but luckily they replaced them quickly.

We Booked a Room from Australia, when we arrived, the Room we received wasn't the Configuration that we had booked!! The Hotel Was fully Booked and couldn't Rectify the Problem!! The Key cards to allow access to the Rooms in the lift, and to allow access to our Room, kept Failing, we had to go to reception 3 different times, to have this problem rectified!! There was no tea, and Coffee in our room, another problem we had to go back to reception to have rectified!! Instructions on how to work the oven and different appliances in the room, was only available by scanning a Q R Code on the wall, as my wife and I are not tech savvy, we didn't know what a QR code scanner was, and we Didn't know how to Get one on our mobile phone,s!! This was a very big Disappointment for us, and Ruined our Experience . While our Bed was comfortable, the overall difficulty in Working out how each of the Room appliances worked, was a major Cause of Frustration!! We discovered to our Horror that our fridge was not keeping cold on the second Day, we have milk and sandwiches That were warm, and un edible!! We had to Bin the sandwich,s and milk, as we Didn't like the possibility of Contacting Salmonella, from the Warm food items!! All switches should be Labeled, to let Guests, know what they Switch On!!

Decent hotel located just across the river from Temple Bar, steps from the ha'penny bridge. Easy walking distance to all of the main sites in Dublin.

Been staying at Zanzibar Locke for all my trips to Dublin over the past 2 years, and it has consistently been a great experience. The location is excellent, security is reassuring, and the rooms are always clean and well-equipped. The staff are also very welcoming and friendly, which makes every stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Dublin.

This hotel is excellent to stay in. As pointed out by other reviews, the location is excellent. The hotel is shielded from the noise and crowds of this very popular area by the frontage facing the river. The adjacent road too is not super busy. Our room had a window but the glass was frosted. You cannot see out of the window, but light streams in. This hotel fills in a sweet spot between more upper end hotels and supposedly 3 star or less joints. The bathroom had an extra wide sink, a towel heating rod, a microwave to grill, mini fridge, sofa, and a curtain to separate the beds from the "living room." We have stayed at other similar truly 4 stars, notably the Aura (Lisbon), Novotel (West London), and a new hotel in Leiden.

Great stay. Great location. Would stay again, no hesitation.

Great location and room is nice however our bed in 308 was absolutely horrible and our dryer did not work at all for laundry, and the staff had attitude when we asked for a solution.
