Bastion Hotel Almere

This is by far the worst Bastion hotel I have ever stayed in. The ratings are completely justified. The rooms are dirty, and the housekeeping deserves a 0/10. It seems that supervisors do not check the quality of cleaning at all, because we encountered multiple problems immediately upon arrival. There were no towels in the room, the shower drain was not working properly, and it is impossible to stay in the shower for more than five minutes because the water starts flooding the bathroom and spreading across the room. There is a huge amount of dust and dirt everywhere. It honestly feels like the room was cleaned with no care or attention at all. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel.

The staff are wonderful. The only negative is that there isn't a smoking area with a garbage so everyone throws their butts at the front door and you have to walk through a haze to get in.

Check-out isn't until 12:00, but housekeeping started knocking on the door as early as 11:00.

A pleasant stay at the Bastion Hotel, close to the Topsportcentrum Almere - Dutch Open 2026 on May 23 and 24, 2026, Baton Twirling! The breakfast and the staff were amazing. The hotel is located right next to Fuji House, a great restaurant! My mother and I were able to eat there without any problems. 😊

A fine three-star hotel; the manager, Carmen, thinks along within the framework of Bastion. I experienced her as warm, intelligent, and service-oriented. If you can look at things realistically, you see hard-working people doing their best to give guests a four-star experience. If you want five stars, you have to open your wallet too. For three stars, I would say it is better than expected 👍

I thought it was quite expensive for the room I got, and the coffee machine, fridge, and air conditioning didn't work. The room was quite dirty.

Been there a while ago. The rooms were good and tidy. And a good price. €89 per night with breakfast is really not expensive. The only downside is that in some rooms the window cannot be opened and the air conditioning doesn't really cool. But otherwise certainly good.
