Some staff members are quite rude and dismissive, especially toward my English-speaking friends. I understand that it can be frustrating to be around non-Dutch speakers, but that's no excuse for rudeness and hostility.

the staff were pretty rude. i understand that speaking dutch is expected, but it came across as unwelcoming to tourists and international students. responding in dutch when i was clearly speaking english, and then treating me like i didn’t understand, felt unnecessary. on a positive note, the younger waiters were genuinely nice and funny… and they have good fries!

We had a delicious meal in a wonderful atmosphere, and the service was also top-notch. The spare ribs are highly recommended.

Lovely spot, tucked away in the center of The Hague. Great beers, delicious food, good music, and friendly service from a charming hostess.
