Stayed at the La Réserve Eden Hotel for a few nights during our travels for my wife's birthday. During our stay, we had dinner at Eden Kitchen and it was amazing! The risotto was perfect, steak was incredible! I just wish we could have had a chance to try the burger.. Next time!

I’m disappointed that the much - hyped Sunday Roast ( which includes a fantastic-sounding baby chicken with Swiss truffles turned on a rotisserie! which I ordered ) turned out to be quite a disappointment..& I told the waiter my chicken had been overcooked & was too dry .. & the truffle accent promised was a joke, being absolutely … undetectable! Even my ‘double-roasted’ potatoes were also bizzarely >> over-roasted! Hey… Honestly!..that’s not what’s supposed to happen! & this is supposed to be a 5 star luxury destination..? Well it’s not delivering 5 Star food in the Eden Kitchen, regrettably. I did enjoy the special of the day starter course of Foie Gras though..& that’s what makes me so sad .. everything started so beautifully.. There was at least a recovery of sorts with my dessert choice : a particularly fine Sacher Torte cake was better than I remember having at the famed hotel of origin itself .. so that’s a triumph for the Eden au Lac pastry chef! Gripe : I’m used to high charges for water in Zurich.. and many others complain too I know I’m not the only one frequently objecting > but CHF12 for a750ml bottle of Valser in this restaurant is frankly outrageous. It’s generally listed as CHF 2 50 > 3 50 by many retailers.. & ok it’s fair to expect to pay more provided at table.. but money grubbing at around FOUR times retail is not ok, anywhere- especially in Switzerland where the water actually comes from! Not like it’s imported ! Accordingly I regret I am unable to recommend fully dining here - what a shame.. Eden somehow hasn’t quite managed to get a well -tried simple formula working properly ~ COOP does a more succulent ordinary toasted chicken!!… and so unbelievably, here sadly it shows.

Our family absolutely loved our experience at Eden. Our service team was so kind, and took especially kind care of our kids. The kitchen tour with the head chef was especially fun for them. It was their first Michelin star experience and definitely made a lasting impression!

Had a fabulous experience for breakfast here. My wife wanted to eat at a Michelin Star Restaurant but doesn’t really like the set menus and over the top “foofoo” menus. So we did breakfast and the three chefs worked seamlessly and it was like watching a ballet for service. High quality product and fantastic service.

We had originally booked a table at La Munà, as we were really looking forward to the sushi. However, the terrace was closed due to the rain. Since the indoor seating was unfortunately out of the question for us because of the extreme heat, we spontaneously asked for a free table at Eden. Luckily, there was still a table available – and we didn't regret this change for a second. The ambiance, the attentive service, and especially the sommelier were simply world-class. The presentation and quality of the dishes were also absolutely impressive – a culinary experience that was worth every penny. A huge compliment also goes to the chef and his team, who gave us an unforgettable evening. However, I would like to mention one point: The only reason we left La Munà and went to Eden was the extreme heat inside and the intense smell of frying oil. This combination was unfortunately almost unbearable for us. Even without the smell, fine dining sushi in such a sweltering indoor space in the summer is more of a burden than a pleasure. It seems La Munà can't be adequately ventilated or air-conditioned – which is a real shame. I wish I'd been informed of this when I made the reservation; the weather forecast was spot on. We'll definitely visit La Munà again – we're really keen to try the sushi. However, that will probably be in the autumn or spring. Not least because Eden, with its exceptional team, outstanding chef, and overall experience, set such a high standard for us that we're confident we can have a similarly top-notch experience at La Munà, albeit under more pleasant conditions.
