Hotel i spa Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa

Really lovely hotel with Spa-extra charge though-on Derwent Water. Fantastically helpful staff & 2 great restaurants. The hotel is very warm-open windows! The towels are amazing bath size! We had 7 bedrooms for our family gathering. Stayed 3 nights on ‘all inclusive’ basis.

Nice location, staff all lovely, perhaps its a sign of age, but the constant presence of mobile phones in the spa ruin it as a relaxing experience. Facetimes from the pool, selfies in the sauna, running in and out of steam rooms to take photos and then realising phones and steam are not a great mix but not caring for those of us actually there to enjoy the steam! Ruins what should be a peaceful and relaxing vibe in a beautiful setting. Don't understand why management allow it, keep mobiles in the locker, out of the spa, relax, enjoy, respect the space and privacy of others and honestly the world does not need to see me in swimming shorts passing through the back of facetimes!

Spa was amazing relaxing with a couple of drinks in the sunshine.Had an evening meal which was nice partners desert was still bit frozen in the middle.Got to our room was a bit noisy with fans going on roof outside window and was the hot week in May so had to sleep with window open sadly not a great sleep for me or my partner.We did bring it up when asked at Reception at checkout very apologetic.We both had a cooked breakfast in morning sadly bacon and black pudding over cooked like it had been reheated.Overall location of Hotel was amazing with the views over lake

We got married here on Wednesday! We are over the moon with all the staff, the beautiful scenery and all the hard work and effort that went into making our day incredible! It’s 100% worth every penny and we also loved the spa day the next day! Thankyou all especially Monique!! The staff are a credit to a stunning hotel!

We had a great stay at Lodore. The food was fantastic. I was a bit worried about food choice as I am coeliac and it is not very clear on the website menus what is gluten free but they do have separate gluten free menu available. I want to give a special mention to Dann that works in the restaurant. He is an absolute credit to your team. Nothing was too much trouble and he went above and beyond to make our stay even better. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely love this hotel. Friendly efficient staff. Gorgeous rooms with amazing views. Lovely lounge areas and food is excellent. Gardens are beautiful and the spa is wonderful. Great place for exploring too

Beautiful surroundings, very clean. The staff are friendly, efficient and approachable. View from the room excellent, only niggle single beds very close together. Dog friendly, your dog is made to feel welcome and dog areas really nice. Lots of choice at breakfast, the continental of a high standard, would suggest toast brought to you a bit later, toast was very cold. Liked the fact you could have proper coffee at breakfast.

Great restaurant and I ordered pork Ramen, mizu super bowl, Mae lawa cake and cream brulé. Staff very friendly and food was really good so I must say give raise to the chef you make things great behind the curtain. Highly recommended to visitors like me.

After paying a lot of money, we were very disappointed with our stay. Initial arrival, the hotel is lovely but the rooms were not quite up to standard. No mini fridge, no safe, water pressure of the shower is terrible, our tv did not work and hardly no service on any channels and the bed was like sleepy on a rock. The breakfast /food was fine however the staff were not competent. Got our food order wrong after repeating it 3 times when ordering. They always came over with the wrong drinks. The spa was lovely however would be nice if it was included in the price of stay. Would use the spa again but would not stay at the hotel.
