Open House Festival at Stanley Arts

O wydarzeniu

First opened in 1903, Stanley Arts continues its building’s legacy as a beacon for the local community. This Grade II listed Edwardian theatre, gallery, and public hall reflects its founder’s interest in the arts and sciences. The historic features of the building are sometimes hidden, other times flaunted. Our Open House tours cover everything past and present about this storied institution.
10:00–11:20: Open House Guided Tour
Join our heritage team for a tour of one of South Norwood’s most recognisable landmark buildings. Originally opened in 1903, Stanley Arts is a treasure trove of architectural detail and hidden stories. This tour encompasses the major details of our building, inside and out, and the people that have contributed to it’s rich history.
This tour commences promptly at the start time provided in the Stanley Arts café and coworking space, and will last for an hour. Please note that some spaces in our building are not step-free accessible. If you have access requirements for your visit, please contact bookings@stanleyarts.org or phone us on 020 8251 0184 no later than 1 week prior to the date of your booking.
12:00–14:30: The Future of Stanley Arts: Capital Conversations
Join Architects Of Change and Stanley Arts to discuss and contribute to our on-going 3 year capital works project funded by the NHLF.  Our main hall will be open to ticket holders to sit and hear a bit about our building; our design ethos as we embark on this new stage of works; and how that is being implemented. This is also a chance for you to share your thoughts on what we are doing, and give your ideas on what you would want our beautiful Grade II listed space to become.
