I have stayed at Claridge's numerous times starting August 2023 (see review)...I loved it. I was so happy to return when I arrived from Windsor with my best friend to celebrate her belated birthday—albeit one night only. Back in August 2025, my son and I were welcomed by Jimmy at reception desk. I was hoping to see Jimmy again as I wanted to give him a token of appreciation from NYC but alas I did not see him. This visit, I was warmly greeted and welcomed back by Gavin. Gavin escorted us to our beautifully designed and comfortable suite where a welcome/happy birthday card, bottle of champagne, French macarons and petite cheesecake with a candle awaited us. Truly heartfelt and appreciated. While waiting in the lobby for my friend, I had an opportunity to chat with Managing Director Thomas Kochs. I told him how much I had enjoyed all my previous stays at Claridge's. Mr. Kochs humbly replied, "It's a team effort." I then told him it is through his leadership and vision that the team aspires. We had a nice chat for approximately 10 minutes. I want to thank The Reading Room and Foyer staff: Mario, Paulina, and Alona. They were engaging which elevated my experience with every interaction; each request was honored including my favorite table seating. In addition, I want to thank the following Claridge's team members who communicated with me prior to our arrival...their emails were greatly appreciated. •Paula Alves-Guest Relations Executive •Amin Zarrar-Guest Relations Manager •Henry Berry-Concierge •Lucy Cavanagh-Concierge Coordinator •Francios-Guillaume Wahl-Executive Assistant to Managing Director Yes, I will return again and again and again!
From the moment we stepped through the doors of Claridge’s, we were immersed in an atmosphere of refined elegance and flawless service. This iconic Mayfair hotel continues to define the very essence of luxury hospitality. Every staff member we encountered—from the welcoming doormen to the discreet and diligent housekeeping team—demonstrated a remarkable combination of professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness. Their intuitive service created a seamless, tailored experience that made us feel both honoured and at ease. Our room was a true sanctuary: beautifully appointed, spacious, and crowned by a large private balcony that offered a peaceful escape high above the bustle of London. The chilled champagne awaiting us upon arrival was a sophisticated and thoughtful welcome that set the tone for an unforgettable stay. There was something magical about beginning each morning on that balcony, champagne in hand, as the city stirred to life below us. Every detail, from the plush linens to the ambient lighting, spoke of a commitment to excellence and guest comfort. Claridge’s is far more than a hotel—it is a finely tuned symphony of elegance, heritage, and hospitality. For those seeking an elevated and authentic London experience, we can say with certainty: this is the place.
We went for afternoon tea at Claridges and it did not disappoint. The room is gorgeous and we got a particularly nice table . Staff were very professional and as one of our party had dietary requirements, they were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They had a pianist and a cello playing very nice melodic music . The food was excellent and you can drink any amount of tea or coffee of your choice. We had a little wander of the hotel when we were finished and it’s really beautiful. Definitely a nice treat if you are visiting London.
Even if you searched across the entire world I don’t think you’d find a better place for afternoon tea. Jairo was our server and his customer service was nothing short of impeccable - thank you for making our anniversary so magical ❤️
There's only really one word I can think of to describe my stay and that is "exquisite". I treated my mum to a night here as a bucket list experience, and as I am more than aware we are not their usual type of clientele. If the staff thought it, they certainly didn't show it. Each and every member of staff (apart from the doormen, more later) treated us with the utmost courtesy and respect without being over the top. We were given a tour of the hotel and our room by the very warm and welcoming receptionist before leaving us in peace to wonder in awe at the room we were given. We ate out for dinner but we did have breakfast. The foyer and reading room were full when we arrived for our breakfast but were told we could use the Dante restaurant and personally shown to it. It did not disappoint. The setting is sublime and the breakfast was lovely. I only have two minor criticisms. Firstly, I find the signage to the various bars and restaurants non existent, unless I was too busy admiring the beautiful decor and missed them. Secondly, I find the doormen very snooty. I have actually eaten twice at Claridge's in the last 18 months and I felt very looked down upon by the doormen who couldn't be bothered to even acknowledge my presence. I deliberately brought a small suitcase for my overnight stay as a test to see if I was treated any differently. I waited about 20 seconds outside until one of the doormen deigned to even look at me. Seeing my case, he asked if I was staying at the hotel. When I gave an affirmative answer, his whole demeanour immediately changed and my case was taken from me and I was escorted to reception. I appreciate that the hotel is probably inundated with people being nosey and taking their insta pics just looking around as well as dining guests but I do feel that all guests should be treated with the same accord. Afterall it was my birthday lunch in 2024 that actually turned me into a staying guest. A small point and maybe a minor one but the doormen are the first impression of both the hotel and staff. I shouldn't have to be carrying a suitcase to get the treatment I received. Other than that, the stay was faultless, and I am now saving up to spend a couple of nights for my 50th birthday and once again live the lie of feeling wealthy!
We were heading to the Connaught for cocktails but passed Claridges on route. We'd never been before so decided to stop for tea/coffee and a cake. Everything was immaculate, the decor, the comfort, the atmosphere, the products, the value and the service. The staff are amazing, really friendly and helpful but also really efficient. It was so good we went back to Dante for cocktails to finish off the night. We had a cocktail in Dante, then the restaurantmanager tookus on a tour of the other 4 cocktail bars to decide our favourite. Dante won but we are certain that we will forever go to Claridges. Fantastic.
There are luxury hotels. Above those are ultra-luxury hotels. Above those are truly world class hotels. Above those, with a big gap in between, is Claridge’s. We have been lucky enough to stay in some amazing hotels around the world. But nowhere does service like this. It’s as if there are a team of invisible butlers following you around and then, when you even think of something let alone talk about it, they just appear and it happens. Quickly. And perfectly. And everything is just the best. Not a single detail is even second best. Rooms? The best. Housekeeping? The best. Restaurant staff? The best. The massages in the spa and even the croissants at breakfast? Have a guess. Every single guest is treated like an old friend. Nothing is too much trouble for anybody. We felt like we were staying with family, assuming our family hypothetically lived in a huge priceless mansion in Mayfair and were able to provide us with a Lobster Wellington. Some would say that you expect amazing service at this price point, But that’s far too simplistic. You expect a certain level of luxury, for sure. But it’s the little touches at every stage of your stay that make the difference. And absolutely nobody does those better than here. See you again, Claridge’s.
Very bad service. Personal are not friendly . I was there 3 days and I don’t feel welcomed and safe. I don’t feel safe there. Security should make you feel Safe in the territory of hotel but they do they job very bad and I have a very strange situation with one of them in 3 th day of my stay . He followed me with all his rudeness . Hotel Is dirty everywhere. They have a problems with water in the rooms and didn’t fix it on time. . The worst experience in my life. Never again!!! Gym Is very old. Hotel Is very old. And in the rooms you can hear when someone ring the door bell of other room close to yours
First time staying at Claridges after a number of visits for meals. Did not disappoint. The highlight is the staff at all levels, attentive and enthusiastic. The rooms was beautifully appointed and the rest of the hotel lived up to expectations. Will return
Family wedding in beautiful surroundings all seemlessly organised. The venue is stunning, excellent food and attentive staff. We would particularly like to thank Sade who was so friendly, attentive and professional.
