New Continental Hotel

The New Continental is a Grade II listed Victorian hotel on Millbay Road, built in the 1870s for Great Western Railway passengers using Millbay. It has 99 rooms, plenty of parking, and a leisure club with an indoor heated pool, sauna, steam room and gym. Plymouth Pavilions is opposite, and the Brittany Ferries terminal and the Hoe are both within walking distance. It's a mainstream hotel, not a gay venue. The Swallow and Sappho's on Bretonside and OMG on the Barbican are the places to go for the city's small queer scene.
