Faena Hotel Buenos Aires

My partner and I stayed one night to celebrate our anniversary. The reception staff and all the other employees were very friendly, which is worth mentioning. The hotel's exterior is very well maintained. However, the room is somewhat dated; the shower, the TV, and the amenities provided in the room are far from what one expects from a 5-star hotel. The shower wall was dirty, which shouldn't happen at that price. That evening, we had dinner at the restaurant "El Mercado," and the experience was a 10/10. The food, the service, everything. Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in the city. Afterward, we went to the bar for drinks; a live band played, which added a lot to the atmosphere. My biggest complaint is about the valet parking. We arrived on a Friday, left the car, and at no point were we informed that the service was not free. Paying what a night there costs, you really don't expect to be charged for parking. The next day, we went to pick up our car, and they told us it was $85,000. As you read, 85,000 pesos. We had to pay it on the spot. On top of that, we waited 20 minutes for our car because the guy couldn't start it. When we mentioned this at the entrance, they told us the valet service was outsourced and that they should have told us beforehand that it was a paid service. In short, the experience isn't as boutique as one would expect for the price. There are several things about this old-fashioned hotel that they should address, especially the parking situation. The best part, without a doubt, was the restaurant "El Mercado" and its staff.

Visit the bar. Excellent service and attention. Delicious coffee ☕️. Prices are reasonable for the location. The atmosphere is lovely.
