Amau Hotel

Amau is a smaller hotel on Avenida 51, almost next door to the Grand Brizo and across from the Teatro Argentino. It's the best-rated hotel in central La Plata on Google, at 4.8 from about 430 reviews, with reviewers mostly praising the staff and the breakfast. Plaza San Martín is two blocks away. It's a mainstream hotel, not a gay venue; Argentine law bans discrimination by sexual orientation and gender identity, and same-sex couples book double rooms without fuss.
