It's difficult to understand how a hotel that presents itself as a high-end establishment can offer an experience so far removed from the excellence it advertises. The location is undoubtedly its main attribute. The bed is also comfortable, but these positive points are not enough to compensate for the numerous problems encountered during the stay. From the moment of arrival, the experience was marked by a complete lack of hospitality. There was a lack of cordiality, welcoming atmosphere, and attention to the guest—basic aspects for any establishment that intends to position itself in a superior category of accommodation. I arrived on the early morning flight, around 5 am, and at 9 am a lady was insistently knocking on the suite door to check/restock the minibar! The state of conservation of the property is particularly worrying. A strong smell of mold is present from the reception to the rooms, compromising comfort and the feeling of well-being. In the elevators, the situation is even worse, with an intense odor similar to RAT URINE, something absolutely incompatible with the premium proposition advertised by the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms also show clear signs of wear and tear. Old furniture with unpleasant odors, rusty metals, and an overall appearance of neglect convey a sense of abandonment, not sophistication. The breakfast also deserves negative mention. Starting with the terrible mood of everyone there to serve us, then charging R$ 90.00 per person for a limited offering that falls short of the expected basics reveals an extremely unfavorable cost-benefit ratio, especially considering the expectations created by the hotel's positioning. To top it off, several lights out in the lobby and common areas reinforce the impression of an establishment that has lost its attention to detail and the guest experience. When choosing a hotel that presents itself as a benchmark for comfort and quality, one expects to find excellent service, impeccable maintenance, and welcoming environments. Unfortunately, the reality observed was exactly the opposite. The gap between what is advertised and what is actually delivered was, without a doubt, the most disappointing aspect of this stay.

I even spent days there... I highly recommend it, and there are tour options available, just ask at the counter as they are outside the hotel.

The hotel, the restaurant, the owners and staff, everything at the Gran Mercure is wonderful. My wedding reception was there, I've been to several events there, in short, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

A hotel that doesn't care about guest comfort. Breakfast has few options; I only managed to get some cream cheese because I asked the waiter if they had it, and he managed to get it, in line with serving only butter. I stayed in a superior category room, the air conditioning was pointed at the bed two meters away, so even if you raise the temperature and lower the speed, you'll be cold. If it's raining, it's another problem, as the hotel's awning is short, and the car can't fit underneath properly. The reception doesn't take delivery orders. So if you order dinner and go to take a shower or are busy doing something else, you'll have to stop whatever you're doing to go down immediately and receive your order. At 9 am, I was still resting because I arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning, and someone was knocking on my door incessantly to restock the minibar at 9 am. Without a doubt, the worst unit of the chain I've ever stayed at. I do not recommend it.

I especially appreciated the hospitality and exceptional treatment from the staff. My stay was short, and being a 5-star hotel, I imagined the facilities would be a bit better, with options like an indoor pool and heated water. The food, however, left something to be desired.
