GRETTA, the Grupo de Resistência de Travestis e Transexuais da Amazônia, is a trans-led group in Belém coordinated by Renata Taylor, who also coordinates the national trans network Fonatrans in the North region. It has run an employability survey of trans people in metropolitan Belém and holds street actions around Trans Visibility Day on 29 January.
In May 2026 the federal human rights ministry selected GRETTA's project 'Casa Marielle Franco', a shelter and support house for trans people in the Amazon, under its Casas da Cidadania call. We couldn't confirm a public address yet, so contact the group through its social media.
