Bosque João Paulo II

The Bosque João Paulo II, also called Bosque do Papa, is a wooded park in Curitiba's Centro Cívico, behind the state government buildings. During the day people visit it for the Polish immigrant memorial and its traditional log houses. It has long been reported as a gay cruising area, with activity on the quieter trails and along the bike path toward the Passeio Público. This is a public park, so public-decency laws apply and there is no supervision. Go in daylight or early evening, leave valuables at home and stay near paths other people are using.
