HOTEL SONETTO

This hotel is a disaster; the receptionist refuses to give you a thermos of hot water. However, there might be a few exceptions with good service.

Perfect location, but it has some easily fixable details. However, judging by reviews from years ago, these are things that haven't been improved, so I'll mention them in case they can truly make progress, as the hotel has a lot of potential. We requested a superior room, and the jacuzzi tub was dirty, and we never felt comfortable using it. The refrigerator was warm; it never refrigerated our food. The television, which the hotel description said was a flat screen, was nothing more than an old TV with 10 channels and 5 evangelical ones. The remote control's batteries were stuck on with tape. It said breakfast was a buffet, but it was just a plate of fruit and a piece of bread. The key for our room didn't work, and they had to put in new batteries. The pool, which was for everyone, was never cleaned; it was always dirty every day we were there. I just want to say that the staff isn't to blame, and I hope they improve these things, as it's a beautiful hotel and the location is perfect. Thank you very much.

We loved it. Very peaceful. The breakfast was very complete, and the service was excellent, from the receptionist onwards.

Horrible hotel, dangerous location, walking near the hotel at night is not recommended, bad internet that doesn't work in the rooms. The cleaning service is awful, they only tidy the sheets and take out the trash, nothing is changed. Breakfast? Just one plate per person with 1 bread roll, 2 types of old fruit and a moldy cake. The pool is not heated so nobody uses it because it's too cold. Recommendation? Sleep on the street but don't go to this hotel. And remember that in the bathroom of the room, there is no shower stall, just a curtain, and the floor is always wet with puddles of water.

Booking.com shows nice, well-equipped rooms, but we were given a room without a refrigerator. The TV didn't have a single channel; it was practically useless. The air conditioning unit sounded like a diesel engine, and the hot water only came on intermittently. When I asked for some ice and utensils to eat my meal, they told me they didn't have any. Zero customer service! If the owner stayed here and randomly assigned rooms, this would be a very different place.

Several things: 1. Very interesting location. 2. The first room, which was quite dark, had no natural light, a small bathroom, and even had bugs. Fortunately, they moved us. 3. The second room was much better, but the hot water was scarce; on the last day, it was less than lukewarm. 4. The breakfast was decent, not very abundant, but it did the job. 5. The cleaning staff were very friendly, always ready to help and make guests feel welcome. 6. And finally, the service. Here, it would be good to distinguish between two groups. The reception staff, at times, almost all of them, acted like they owned the place. I hope they did, but they made guests feel unwelcome. They didn't respond properly, not even a thank you. The facilities in general are old; with a little maintenance, it would be a different story.

Run away!! It's a scam for Brazilians!! We arrived at the hotel around 4 PM. Initially, we were informed that the bath towels were drying, meaning there were no towels in the room (we had been traveling since 10 PM the previous day). Most of the staff don't bother to be even minimally friendly. The room is terrible. We were desperate when we entered. The breakfast was also terrible. They serve instant coffee. I had read some comments beforehand that the snacks were different each day. Every day they served bread with ham and cheese. If you want milk, you have to ask at the counter, but we only discovered this because they don't tell you they have it. We were getting ready for an outing and the maid knocked on the door asking if we wanted the cleaning. I said yes, but that we were finishing getting ready and asked if she could come to our room a little later, and she said no!! It was either that time or the next day. The bathroom window wouldn't close; there was a screw in it. O Banheiro alaga, tem uma cortina nojenta, toda suja. O ralo do banheiro é inteiramente aberto. Enfim, nossa viagem foi boa por outros motivos mas esse hotel não contribuiu nenhum pouco para isso. Não oferece ao hóspede o mínimo de condições.

I stayed at the hotel from December 22nd to 29th, 2025. The reception was terrible almost every day; it seemed like they were doing us a favor, barely speaking to us, answering as little as possible, and it seemed like they didn't like Brazilians. I stayed in room 55, which was large and had two double beds, but the mattresses were bad, sinking in when I sat down. There's nowhere to store clothes. The TV reception is very poor and there are very few channels. The lighting is terrible, the room is dark and horrible for applying makeup; there's a window, but it faces inward and can't be opened. The room is stuffy and very hot, but the air conditioning worked well. Thank God my room had a mini-fridge. The bathroom doesn't have a shower stall; it's divided by a black curtain and leaks water, and there's no bath mat. I received two bath towels, which were quite worn and used. The cleaning is also poor; they basically make the beds, replenish the toilet paper, and take out the bathroom trash. A piece of soap fell on the floor on the second day and was still there on the bathroom floor until the eighth day, when I left. The shower is good. They don't clean the room or the bathroom. The internet is VERY BAD. Breakfast is served from 7 to 10 am, and we left very early for our tours and ended up without breakfast because they don't offer a snack kit. We spent Christmas there and asked to borrow a knife; the reception was very rude, saying that breakfast service is only from 7 to 10 am and wouldn't discuss it. The hotel's location is reasonable, but I was afraid to walk around there at night. It doesn't even remotely resemble the hotel service in Brazil. The trip was good, despite the hotel leaving something to be desired.

Dirty air. Expensive prices for products. 9- Rude staff. 10- Incorrect information given. As a 62-year-old in the senior citizen group, they need to improve a lot. Hotel SONETTO. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.

We were able to enjoy the pool, a good breakfast and the place is beautiful, only a few drawbacks.
