The room was very clean. We will definitely return to this hotel.

A very nice location for exploring Old Quebec on foot. The apartment itself is lovely and well-equipped overall. However, parking is strictly "first come, first served!" We unfortunately drove to Montmorency Falls during the day. Upon our return, all the parking spaces were occupied, even though we had paid for parking for two nights. Despite calling the front desk and providing our license plate number and car model, we were unable to resolve the issue. The only response we received was: "These are customers who have paid for parking!" Ultimately, finding an available underground parking space in our 4x4, which is over 1.9 meters high, was extremely difficult, especially in the evening. So either the hotel is overbooking its parking, or they are incapable of controlling who parks and of having vehicles towed. We received a refund for the parking space, but without addressing the problem, which must be a recurring issue. It's a shame to end our stay on such a negative note.

Our stay at Appart'Hôtel Le 31 McMahon was very pleasant overall. The property is clean, modern, and well-maintained. The entrance door is secure, and everything is opened digitally via your mobile phone – convenient, but you need to make sure your device is sufficiently charged, otherwise you might have trouble getting in. We didn't see a single staff member in person during our entire stay; everything was handled through digital check-in and information systems. This works perfectly for tech-savvy guests, but it might feel a little unusual for those who prefer direct contact. The location is quiet yet central, making it easy to reach Quebec's attractions. Anyone who appreciates cleanliness, comfort, and modern digital processes will be very happy here.

Everything is done virtually, but the process is very easy. A superb place to stay while visiting Old Quebec.

The location is exceptional. The virtual reception service works very well. We had a minor key issue, and it was resolved within a minute. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The icing on the cake was the parking space (paid, admittedly, but much appreciated). We loved every minute of our stay there and will definitely return. 200% recommended!

Good experience overall. This is not your traditional hotel as there is no reception desk, and all doors open via the link that is sent to your phone on the day of arrival. It's more like a cross between an Airbnb and a boutique hotel. For my senior guests accompanying me, they were kind enough to provide access codes which allowed them to enter the rooms without having to use the app. Communication was easy and done through text or telephone. Location is very good and is ideal for those who don't want to walk long distances but still be close to all the action. Only issue was that there were no elevators, but there are rooms on the ground level for those with mobility issues. The room had everything we needed, I was impressed they even had a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. I parked my car at the hospital which was a 5 minute walk away and saved myself a couple of dollars that way. I’d recommend this place to independent travelers comfortable with using technology. However, the lack of on-site staff and elevators may pose a challenge for seniors, or those who aren't comfortable using technology or don’t speak English or French.

Remote check in was our first. Was easy enough. Room was clean, comfortable & well appointe. Room & washroom amenities were adequate. Location was fabulous. Recommended.

The hotel was very well located and convenient for accessing the train station. We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfortable. The reception staff were responsive via SMS or WhatsApp, making it easy to communicate. The amenities weren't very practical: very few power outlets (luckily we had our own), and no clothes hangers. There was also some noise; I had to get earplugs to sleep. The keypad for entering the code at the building entrance consistently displayed an error message because it didn't recognize faces, and you had to wait for it to disappear and allow access to the keypad.

If you are expecting a hotel with services that other hotels offer for hotels in the range of $450 a night you will be disappointed. First of all, there are no employees on site and absolutely no services. Second, the soap available is just soap, no shampoo and no conditioner. Third, the toilet paper is the thinnest kind, something you might expect from a cheap motel. Fourth, the sofa, which substitutes as a sofa bed, is old and worn. To be honest, this is not a luxury hotel but rather it should be in the category of long term rooms for rent.Fifth, there is no daily cleaning. Cleaning is done every five days. On the positive, the suite has a good kitchen and comes supplied with a washer and dryer and vacuum cleaner so YOU can clean to your heart's desire. Also, the location is excellent. In summary, if you are prepared to pay approximately $450 a night and expect a full service hotel for that price, you will be disappointed as we were.
