The Crystal Lodge, Whistler Hotel

We love staying here usually, and chose to stay here again for our wedding anni. Rooms are now renovated which was great. However the washroom had no towel hooks or bar. A minor oversight with renos potentially. Elevators always had a wait so we opted to take the stairs throughout our stay. We were looking forward to a great restful night without kids and unfortunately their smoke detectors started beeping at 4am. These should be changed routinely so it doesnt happen to others. Instead of calling, as we knew it would take forever to get service.. My husband climbed on the counters and was tall enough to hit the reset button. We Let the front desk know the next morning so they could change the batteries before the next guests arrive and there was no acknowledgement or apologies for the inconvenience. This place is run by a younger crowd at the front desk compared to your higher end stays like Westin etc. Love the location, but we might have to look for a different place to stay after this experience.

My wife and I recently stayed at Crystal Lodge Whistler to celebrate her birthday, and I wanted to take a moment to share our wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. A special thank you to Rachel, manager and her team , Lennart, Gemma, and Laura for going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail truly stood out. The team was incredibly supportive, listened carefully to our needs, and made every effort to ensure we were comfortable. We were delighted with the room we received, and their thoughtful service made my wife's birthday celebration even more special. What impressed me most was the way they treated guests—with genuine warmth, respect, and a positive attitude. Their friendly tone, willingness to help, and commitment to excellent customer service created an experience that exceeded our expectations. I understand how much effort it takes to provide this level of hospitality, and I wanted to express my sincere appreciation. Thank you, Rachel, Lennart, Gemma and Laura, for your outstanding service and for making our stay so enjoyable. You are a great example of what exceptional customer care looks like. We look forward to returning and highly recommend Crystal Lodge Whistler to anyone visiting Whistler.

Edit: 1 week later and I still never got the refund for the booking they cancelled on me. Very disappointing experience with Crystal Lodge. I booked a confirmed reservation for Canada Day weekend, received confirmation, and my credit card was fully charged. Based on that confirmation, I cancelled another accommodation I had already secured because I believed this reservation was finalized. Shortly afterward, I was informed that my reservation was being cancelled due to an “incorrect rate” caused by their own system/revenue management error. By that point, Whistler accommodation prices had increased substantially and many comparable options were no longer available. A confirmed and paid reservation should mean something. Instead, I was left scrambling to rebook accommodations during one of the busiest weekends of the year at significantly higher prices because of an internal error completely outside of my control. The offered “20% future discount” did not come close to addressing the inconvenience or financial impact this caused. I understand mistakes happen, but cancelling confirmed paid bookings after customers have already made plans around them is unacceptable.

Centrally located, beautiful and quiet hotel

Really nice hotel in the centre of Whistler Village. Our room was excellent. Large bed, table to eat at and a sofa with large TV. Had a large fridge, sink, Nespresso machine and washing up sink. Bathroom a good size but could do with a more modern shower cubicle rather than bath and shower curtain. As other reviews say, quieter side is at the front on to the car park area. I imagine in high season it’s very loud at the street side.
