Villa Roca Boutique Resort

​Villa Roca Boutique offers amazing views and a wonderfully quiet atmosphere. The service was excellent and highly accommodating. Best of all, everything is incredibly convenient and within a few minutes' walk. Highly recommended!

Staff was great. Rooms are nice. Killer views. The pool and bar area were super fun and Beto makes a great cocktail!

Spectacular views from the room and the pool. All the staff were incredibly friendly, from reception and the bar to the cleaning and maintenance teams. Comfortable beds and a good night's sleep, and peace and quiet at night. Manuel Antonio is a very quiet area at this time of year. Great value for money. Best regards!

A beautiful small hotel located a few kilometers south of Quepos. Our room was really spacious and well appointed including a well equipped kitchenet. The pool, Jacuzzi and pool bar have a spectular view of the Pacific. Only "complaint" is that, at least during off-season when we were here staffing is limited and on-site dinning options are pretty much nonexistent. Not a really big problem as there are probably a dozen good to really good restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk from the property. The property is built on a hillside, and moving about requires navigating a lot of steps.

Good hotel, an older building that's quite well maintained. The staff were super friendly. Very clean. The pool and jacuzzi, with the views from the rooms, are worth it. Great music by the pool, but the breakfast was a bit meager for the room price. The small wardrobe without shelves wasn't ideal; they should improve that. The room size was very comfortable, and the private terrace was a plus. Another minor issue was the lack of conditioner in the shower.

Fantastic modern rooms with a high pressure rain shower and spectacular views! The personal really makes you so comfortable here that I extended my stay here from 4 to 7 nights, this was the best decision I took in Costa Rica as a solo traveler!

The Villa Roca exemplifies the “Pura Vida” lifestyle. Everyone is encourage to come as they are, and enjoy a place that is open and welcoming regardless of whatever your walk of life is. Rooms are spacious, the views are magnificent and the staff led by Johanna are friendly, and always willing to give recommendations about the area.

This review was written when Villa Rica was a LGBT hotel. The hotel has since changed their targeted clientele. Truly loved staying here. Really nice pool (and view), as well as a total of three jacuzzis. The complimentary breakfast is tasty and a great touch. The staff (Miguel and Mauriel) were the best! The bar closes a little early and there is no food onsite but the hotel has a lot of delivery options that they can call for you if you need. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you all for everything.

Great spot, friendly staff at the pool, fabulous views. Our included continental breakfast was great too. It is spread out down a hillside so if you’re in one of the lower rooms, you will have some steps to do. In our opinion, totally worth it for the privacy and the view! Also pool had best pinada (non alcoholic pina colada) I’ve had anywhere with fresh coconut - yum!

Please please please do yourself a favor and do not miss this spot! We were staying down the road, but decided to stop in to see the pool. Man, were we impressed! We ended up purchasing a day pass for the pool, which was $25 a person. However, you also get a $25 voucher for food and drink within the pool, so girl math says that’s free pool access! The Pool had an absolutely incredible view of the jungle and the ocean! We even saw parasailers which prompted us to also go parasailing that afternoon. I also loved that there was some great shade, so there was both pool and chairs in the sun if you wanted to tan, but also in the shade if you wanted to stay cool. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were absolutely incredible, but what really made our stay fantastic was our bartender, Alberto. I cannot tell you enough how awesome Alberto was! He was very kind and funny, and really encompassed the Pura Vida lifestyle that we love so much about Costa Rica. Alberto made us incredible drinks, gave us some great recommendations for parasailing, and even threw out some scores and judged my husband and I synchronize swimming when we were messing around in the pool, ha ha! We had such a great time, and will definitely be back as long as Alberto is around!
