About this place Villa Roca Boutique Resort

Villa Roca is one of Manuel Antonio's best-known gay-popular boutique properties, perched on the hillside about 4km along the road toward the National Park. The adults-oriented resort is a favourite with gay travellers for its Pacific-view suites and villas, its pools (including clothing-optional areas) and its easy walk to the town's bars. Rooms range from smaller boutique units to self-contained villas, and the mood is relaxed, private and social — it's a regular base for guests during the Bravo circuit weekends and the July Pride.

Hotel offering good value for money, private parking, simple breakfast, swimming pool and jacuzzi, and spacious rooms, all with sea views.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon here and it was the best decision we ever made. We rented the villa for 10 days and it was spacious, luxurious but was not stuffy and was a great value during the "rainy season." we still had plenty of sunshine and despite being slow season, the service was great. Shoutout to our breakfast and cleaning crew for taking care of us throughout these 10 days. The hotel is in such a good location and tbh, the view from the pool is just the best. It's our second time at this resort, though we miss the clothing-optional/gay theme of the hotel since they changed management, there were still many lgbtq folks that visited and we did not feel unwelcome at any point. we had some issues with the toilet but maintenance addressed the problem very quickly. The convenience/grocery store right across the street was really very helpful and the kitchen we had was a fully functioning kitchen and we were able to make home-cooked meals since we didn't want to eat out every night. We felt safe and extremely taken care of and was very happy with our experience overall. Highly recommend still to everyone especially to our lgbtq folks!

I LOVED IT!!! Costa Ricans are incredibly friendly, and this hotel was no exception. The food was delicious, the hotel was generally clean, the view was beautiful, and the location was excellent. I absolutely loved it.

Expensive and excessive. Extremely poor service. The worst restaurant food I've ever eaten. I tried to eat terrible toast for about $15.. Just hallucinating! The place is far from the sea and with lots of stairs. I only stayed out of laziness to move somewhere. The only thing nice is the view. Better to avoid.

We absolutely loved our stay here and would reccomend this hotel to anyone! The staff, particularly the gentleman, is incredible. The views from the rooms as well as the pool are absolutely beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel cat Mici was the highlight of our trip and she actually slept in bed with us the last night. At the hotel we saw monkeys, parrots, lizards, a porquipine, and a fur de lance (be careful!) Which was amazing. There are resturants in walking distance and the park and beach are all a cheap rideshare away or drive. The only thing we didnt love is the breakfast - I'd just factor in buying a breakfast into your pricing because the hotel is already pretty affordable. We loved our stay and hope to return. Thank you to Villa Roca for making our first ever stay in Costa Rica incredible and one we will never forget! Pura Vida!
