El Ranchero is the long-running gay cantina on Plaza Santa Cecilia, the little square under the arch at the top of Avenida Revolución that most guides call Tijuana's gay corner. Google lists it as a gay bar and as open around the clock, and reviews through October 2026 describe a busy crowd of men of all ages, many from out of town, plus drag performers on some nights. It's a cantina, not a dance club. Several reviewers say staff push you to buy them drinks and that one bartender overcharged, so ask prices and pay round by round. It's a gay men's bar; a September 2026 review from a gay customer complained of feeling unwelcome, so experiences vary.
