Side Piece

Side Piece is a small, neon-lit queer bar that opened in February 2026 at 1119 Railroad Avenue, in the space that previously housed Miller's Back Door. Created by the owners of the neighbouring Rumors Cabaret, it was built specifically to give Bellingham's LGBTQ+ community a more laid-back, conversation-friendly counterpart to the cabaret next door. Where Rumors leans into drag and dancing, Side Piece is the chill option — a casual neighbourhood dive where you can actually hear each other talk, meet locals, and settle in for the evening. Together with Rumors and the 18+ HUT club, it forms a compact strip of dedicated queer nightlife on Railroad Avenue in downtown Bellingham.
