Henrietta Hudson's gets all my respect for Community Building. It is been a warm space for 35 years. A lesbian bar but welcoming to all of us. As a queer man, I was glad to have a space like this to bring my lesbian friends when they were visiting town because I knew the crowd would be friendly and we would all be invited in.

We love this place! Visiting from out of town and the vibe is so fun. Casey is a fabulous bartender, made us feel so welcome and gave us great recommendations!

Always double check what events they have going on there before you go cause my friend and I did accidentally show up during a silver fox mixer. Super fun place with a great bar menu though, the bartenders are always nice and make good drinks. Not too small but can get packed. Plus they have two bathrooms which is so nice

I was visiting from out of state and this bar was truly such an amazing place. The history and vibe are absolutely incredible. I heard about the location through malea’s social media, and got to meet her! She was so inviting and made me feel comfortable and excited about the bar. I was happily surprised at my level of enjoyment. I also got the absolute pleasure of talking with Mo and Maxine (some of the amazing bartenders) they were truly amazing and made me so safe and welcome in an unfamiliar environment. I cannot recommend this place enough and if Malea, Mo, or Maxine is there, make sure to say hi!

I have multiple issues with how tonight went. I do want to note I'm from another city so I don't have ppl to rely on for tips. 1. The website says this: "It will be a while before packed dance clubs are back in full swing, so we're adapting and changing our model from a crowded nightclub to a spacious, airy lounge for the community to gather safely." Now that I re read this yes it seems like this was written during covid times but I did have expectations that I could sit and chill if I wanted to. There is absolutely no room to do so. 2. EXTREMELY crowded even at 10:30 pm. Couldn't dance because we were all squished. Did NOT feel safe at all. Especially because there are cis straight men there and hetero couples. I know the bar can't fully deny access legally BUT they says it's a queer human bar. I didn't like that necessarily because so many lesbian bars have been shutting down in our country. And saying it's a queer human bar perpetuates this and invites more men in. Like, be proud to be Lesbian. I didn't feel that vibe. 3. EXPENSIVE. 17 for a cover. Especially for the fact drinks are already expensive and we couldn't sit down or dance due to the crowds. Maybe have a cap and let a line form? We didn't get what we paid for. 4. The music was so loud. The loudest of any club I have ever been to. Not really a complaint just be warned
