Leather Stallion Saloon

The Leather Stallion Saloon at 2205 St Clair Avenue NE, just east of downtown, opened in 1970 and is Ohio's longest continuously operating gay bar. It's a leather and Levi bar by name, but most nights it works as a relaxed men's bar for regulars and their friends, with a pool table, a small dance floor and a covered patio that hosts Sunday cookouts in summer. Kinky karaoke and trivia are on the calendar, and Cleveland Scene readers made it runner-up for Best LGBTQ+ Bar in 2026. It opens at 4pm Monday to Thursday and 3pm Friday to Sunday, and closes at 1am (2am on Friday and Saturday). It's the only gay bar on the east side of the river, so plan a rideshare to the west-side bars.
