Booked 2 beds. They gave us 1 bed instead of two, then told us they can’t cancel and refund reservation

Lied about the price of the rooms and deposit.

I called ahead to confirm and was told I could check in late since my room was paid for. I have checked in late at this same hotel before without issues. I came to check in after 2am and pounded on the glass and yelled for a while before finally finding the correct, unlisted phone number for the front desk (the one from the automated line is disconnected, shocker) and finally as I was calling it must have woke the night auditor up from his nap as he came out after I'd been waiting for 20 minutes and rudely told me I was a no show and didn't care that I was told it was fine earlier in the day ("he was wrong" is what I was told. As if that's somehow my fault?) I've since been trying to get refunded but Choice Hotels doesn't seem to give a shit and nobody can reach the Manager of the Hotel who's supposed to be there from 7am to 3pm but doesn't seem to take phone calls.

Was not aware of the $100 deposit per room. it did not say it anywhere in the description when I booked it. And not to mention, I had to fix the toilet before it would flush

This motel kept my $60 cash deposit because I checked out 30 minutes late. I was in the shower and lost track of time, and no motel I’ve ever stayed at has kept my deposit for something so small. Hotel staff are very rude and unfair. Do not stay here.

My experience at this location was beyond disappointing. When I arrived, I was suddenly told there would be a deposit, which I hadn’t been informed about beforehand. The room was nothing like the photos or description—completely misleading. When I brought up my concerns, the older man at the front desk told me there was “nothing they could do” since the rooms were sold out. He even came to my room to say this, which I found unprofessional and uncomfortable. On the morning of checkout, I forgot to stop by the office to get my deposit back. When I called later, the same man (who said his name was “Brian,” if that’s even your name, lol) told me he’d Cash App the money, then changed his story and claimed he’d already given it back—which he absolutely hadn’t. When I pushed the issue, he told me to “come get it,” even though I was already back home in Ohio. I was never refunded my deposit, and management refused to take any responsibility. The dishonesty and lack of accountability were unacceptable. Travelers, beware—this place is unprofessional and feels like a scam waiting to happen.
