Hyatt Place Evansville / Downtown

Great experience! Check-In was smooth, room was clean, amenities nice, and location perfect for downtown area we wanted to be near. Shower pressure was really amazing (2nd floor room), bed was comfortable, and noise level was quite.

I thought the overall experience was pretty good, the front staff was very helpful when it came to everything we needed. I just wish the cleaning staff would watch where thry were going. Everyone was on a phone and I got bumped with carts more times than I count, I'm 6ft not invisible. And room maintenance may need some work, the shower grate came up with my foot when I stepped on it.

Very clean hotel. Convenient location for the activities we had planned, walked everywhere except the Zoo. Nice indoor pool 👍🏻 good free breakfast. Good parking area near main entrance. We enjoyed our 3 day 2 night stay.

Great stay! Rooms were impressively quiet with the blackout blinds being a standout feature. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and parking was simple and convenient, which isn’t always a given in downtown locations. The hotel’s location was also ideal for our event. There were just a couple of minor hiccups: the computer system was down during our stay, so we weren’t able to charge anything to the room, and the shower was out of shower gel. Neither issue significantly impacted the experience, but worth noting. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others looking for a comfortable, well-located option in downtown Evansville.

Decent hotel. Staff wasn’t the nicest. Waited awhile to check in. No soap in the shower and woken up at 6:30am from construction workers. They also charge a parking fee without mentioning anything about it at check in. Even if you don’t have a car they add it on automatically. Inexpensive stay though so…

We have stayed at the Hyatt Place Evansville Downtown multiple times, and I want to be very clear about why we keep coming back—it’s the people. Herbert, Kyla, and Lily are absolutely exceptional. They go above and beyond every single time to make guests feel welcome, remembered, and genuinely cared for. In a world where customer service often feels transactional, they create an experience that feels personal and meaningful. That is rare, and it matters. They anticipate needs, engage with guests, and bring an energy that you simply cannot train—it comes from being valued, supported, and invested in what they do. I will say this: experiences like the ones they provide are what build loyalty. Guests return because of how they are treated, not just because of a building or a brand name. When a team like this is in place, it’s something special—and something worth holding onto. We truly hope the environment behind the scenes continues to support and retain staff like this, because they are the heart of this hotel. Without them, it simply wouldn’t be the same.
