Amazing and lovely community. This bar is historic and is a monument for the joy and love of LGBTQIA+ community in Galveston and beyond.

Galveston icon and Texas' oldest gay bar, is on the ropes. Friendly people, great drink specials, but the facility has seen better days. Patio space needs a spruce up. Indoor space could benefit from adding a pool table and/or dance floor. A cash infusion or generous patron is needed to help place stay afloat. Nice opportunity for a new buyer/owner.

Sad shadow of what it used to be

Just Sad. I moved to Galveston, I always wanted to visit this place, but just never found the time because I'm not a night person. I finally went there tonight and it was just nasty and sad. People were smoking inside the place, which I didn't even know was still a thing. I was there less than 10 minutes and left with my hair, clothes and skin smelling like cigarettes. It was midnight on a Saturday night and there were literally 6 people there; two of which were screeching karaoke songs on the mic so you're forced to listen. It was just sad. It's allegedly the oldest gay bar in Texas, but I don't know how it even made it through one week of being in business. Oh, and the one bartender there, and the 6 patrons didn't seem that friendly. Just sad...
