Holiday Inn Resort Galveston-on the Beach

I love holiday inn.

First time to stay here. Needed a room before a cruise and the resort is small rooms have been refurbished and are really clean and nice. The bar downstairs had karaoke last night it was a blast the lady putting it on was so much fun. We didn't eat the breakfast but looked ok it is 16$ a person. The beach is right across the street great location to me. I would stay again.

I love this place because of the staff. They are friendly, helpful, and considerate.

We usually come to this hotel before our cruise. It’s a good location and right across the street from the beach. Lisa who works in the housekeeping department is very nice and always gives us extra towels and amenities. Always smiling and friendly to everyone. Kiana at the front desk is also very friendly and helpful.

The view of my $250.00 a night room was the roofs rusty a c units.the refrigerator defrosted all over my food..they failed to tell me they charge $ 15.00 to park outside .the lady who booked me the room was rude her name was Kim. I don't recommend this old run down hotel to no one.

It's even a pity to give one star, it's the most terrible hotel I've ever seen in my life, it's dirty everywhere, the door doesn't lock(i uploaded the video), the phones don't work, the service is disgusting, the pool is very small, dirty, there were no towels for the pool, the rooms stink, the furniture is old, breakfasts are not included, for $650 per day it would be better to rent a house near the beach for six, I really regretted that we rested here.

Had a small discrepancy, Amber went above and beyond to ensure my family was welcome and felt at home. The resort should consider themselves privileged to have an employee who gives her all and genuinely cares about her position and her guest. Thanks again Amber, you're awesome!

The location is great, the service is pretty good, the rooms are renovated but still have outside doors like a motel, doesn't feel secure at all. Elevator doesn't work well, you have to hold down the floor button the entire time to get to your floor or it will not go. The really bad part that got it lowered to 2 stars was the inability of staff to keep the drunks out. We were awoken at 11:30pm to the sound of drunk people fighting & yelling outside our door. We should've known this wasn't a classy resort when we saw the drunk riff-raff & pot smokers hanging out at the lobby. This is just a glorified motel 6. Definitely not worth the $300-400 we spent per night.

A very good experience at this hotel. The service was excellent, the view superb, and especially the excellent customer service from Mrs. Sandra, who made sure we had everything we needed at breakfast. Thank you very much; I highly recommend it.

Stayed here 31 July -3 Aug. Being a IHG One Rewards member and Disabled Veteran I honestly thought every IHG establishment offer the same complimentary and benefits. I was completely wrong. You have to make sure breakfast is in the package or pay $16 on the go. No DV Parking ( $15 per day). I stayed in other IHG hotels in South Padre etc and never pay those fees. Room was ok; not the best I've seen. I know for a fact that I will be carefully checking the details in my itenary and where I want to spend the money if I plan to visit Galveston in the future.

Do not use shuttle service to the port. I mean, if you want to get home within 5 hours of your promised time

We absolutely love it here. So kid friendly. So many cool activities. Alim, our waiter by the pool was so wonderful. We will miss him so much! Nikki and Uma and the kids island art craft place center were absolutely phenomenal and played with my kids all day for me for free 🤣 bradley at the front desk helped us upgrade to a better room view so quickly and easily. Highly recommend!!
