DoubleTree by Hilton St. Paul Downtown

The DoubleTree by Hilton St. Paul Downtown is a 17-storey, 251-room hotel at 411 Minnesota St, in the middle of downtown and on the skyway. Like the InterContinental, it's owned by the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, and it also closed briefly in January 2026 before reopening in February. Google reviews average about 3.9 from more than 1,600, lower than its neighbours, so read the recent ones before booking. It's a mainstream hotel, not a gay venue. St Paul's one dedicated queer bar, the Black Hart, is on University Ave in the Midway, about 15 minutes west on the Green Line.
